Joshua S. Friedman was born in Fairfax county, Virginia on March 12, 1982.  A military brat, Joshua moved around a lot as a child; visiting nearly every state in the continental U.S. and even spent a month in Ireland.

Around the age of 10 Joshua began creating his own super-heroes and writing comic books.  As a young adult he started dabbling in writing music, poetry, and short stories.

In 2000 Joshua attended Michigan State Univeristy, where he studied architecture and psychology for a year and a half before tuition rates soared across the country, and he could no longer afford to go.

Like Kerouac and Steinbeck, Joshua sought numerous vocations to inspire his writing, such as a pizza delivery driver, a maintenance repair man for an apartment complex, the warehouse manager of a flooring store, a sandwich artist, a gas station attendent working third-shift in a bad part of town, and even building tire-walls and ground maintenance at Michigan International Speedway.

After getting the idea for the first Dog and Troll book, Joshua studied film production/direction at Lansing Community College.  Among his first classes was a script writing class, where Joshua pitched Of Dog and Troll as a movie.  The class response was a resounding consensus:  "That should be a book, not a movie!"

Now Joshua has written two novels and a book of poetry, and has no intention of quiting now.  Be on the look out for future titles by Joshua S. Friedman

ATTENTION!!!

All eBooks are free for a limited time.  Twisted Falls has been pushed back because fans keep hounding me about the release of The Chronicles of Dog and Troll:  Book 4 - The Taking of Anne Warwick, which has a tentative release date slated for winter of 2016.  In a few months, I'll release another short story (available only on eBook).  That short will be free, but everything else will return to normal price, so get the freebies while you can.  Also, at the very end of the next short story (I haven't decided which to release yet), will be the opening (D.C. al Coda), of book 4 of the Dog and Troll series; just something to wet your appetites.

COMING SOON

Josh has a new short story out, no it doesn't contain the opening to book 4, but hey, everything is still free, so what are you complaining about?
